Neillsville Community Garden Plans Move Forward
Saturday, February 2nd, 2013 -- 7:34 AM
Plans are moving forward for the start of a possible Community Garden in Neillsville in the summer of 2013.Members of the Clark County Master Gardener Volunteers, in conjunction with the UW-Extension, and Calvary Lutheran Church are working to get the garden up and running. The land for the gardening would be located at the church.
The plans are tentatively for small garden plots that would be available to local citizens for a nominal fee, enabling them to plant gardens for their own use.
What is needed at this point are people to sign up who are interested in: renting and working a garden plot for the summer and a minimum of 10 garden plots is needed to start the program, supplying materials, monetary funding, and volunteers to help get the garden started.
