Mobile Learning Initiative at Neillsville School Board Meeting

-Mobile learning devices, and more were discussed at the Tuesday Neillsville School Board Meeting.The board was given a presentation known as the Mobile Device Learning initiative. The purpose of the initiative is to put a computing device into the hands of teachers and students. The initiative will be implemented in phases and the board approved those phases.
The first phase will be to put iPads into the hands of staff; the district will be leasing them with Apple. The tablets will have development and review applications on them for the staff to use.
The next phase will be to put an iPad, or some kind of tablet, into the hands of the kids in grades 3-12. ?It will be our first step for learning digitally,? John Gaier, District Administrator at Neillsville said, ?We're very excited about the initiative."
The board also accepted a donation of books from the National Wildlife Association.
