Impact of Clark County Fair, Day 4

Wednesday, December 19th, 2012 -- 8:30 AM

-We have more of the statistics and data provided by Interim CNRED Educator of Clark County, Amy Jahnke, at the recent Neillsville City Council Meeting.

So far, the data has shown a wide variety in education level, income, age, and other factors for those that attend the Clark County Fair. We?ve also looked closely at several different categories regarding education, group size, most anticipated activity and others.

When it comes to advertising for the fair, most people checked local newspapers with 18% of those surveyed saying they checked the paper. That was followed closely by simple word of mouth at 17%. The fair book, UW-Extension office, and UW-Extension newsletter were next at 13% for each.

A map showed that most people that attended the fair were from Clark County, but a fair share came from the surrounding counties like Wood, Marathon, Chippewa, Jackson, and Eau Claire. There were even people that came as far as Minnesota and Illinois.
