Neillsville City Council Discusses Heritage Days

-The Neillsville City Council discussed the recent Heritage Days Committee Meeting at the Tuesday Meeting.Mary Jurgaitis, a Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints representative, presented a proposal for a ?Community Picnic? during the 2013 Heritage Days event. The proposal would include a ?Dutch Oven? picnic basket, picnic basket from food booths, and historical presentations.
The pottery for the 2013 Heritage Days was discussed and 100 refrigerator jars were ordered at 40 dollars apiece.
Finally, bands for 2013 were discussed. They have several bands in mind for the event and decided that the music will start at 1:00pm in the afternoon on Saturday and run until 12:30am Sunday morning. They also discussed a Karaoke night on Thursday.
A couple other tidbits of information mentioned: the raze order on the Iazner property may have its final hearing on January 3rd. The raze order on the Christie building is still going through the courts, and they now have a new judge overseeing the process.
Mayor Mabie also offered his compliments to the photographer who?s been taking pictures for the city?s website.
