Unique Learning Experience at The Highground for Pittsville Students

-The snow was no deterrent for students and teachers from Pittsville High School as they traveled to The Highground?s Learning Center on Tuesday, for a unique learning experience.Fighting for Democracy: Who is the ?We? in We the People; is an exhibit that invites students to research the lives of seven Americans (all of diverse backgrounds), during WWII.
They ?traveled- in- time? so to speak as they went from what the lives of these seven individuals were like before WWII, during their service in WWII and the changes that came about after the war ended.
The students also participated in group projects that related to how diversity, discrimination and exclusion are still present in today?s society, and how they as individuals and future leaders will address and correct these situations.
