Thursday, December 13th, 2012 -- 8:40 AM
-The Marshfield Teacher Association wants to resume collective bargaining negotiations. In September, an Act 10 ruling struck down some of the law?s provisions for teachers unions. Much of Act 10 remains in limbo while Attorney General J.B. Van Hollen appeals the decision.
The decision by MTA to resume contract negotiations follows a string of other teachers unions around the state that are making similar requests.
The Marshfield district will consult with its attorney to understand the negotiation process after the ruling.
The board would then handle any discussion in its negotiations committee.
