Tourism figures will not be official until next spring, but a top official says the state is experiencing another record year in terms of tourism revenue.Wisconsin Tourism Secretary Stephanie Klett says the department?s regional tourism specialists track the progress throughout the year. She says that will include county-by-county breakdowns of tourism revenue, how many jobs result from that tourism and more.
Klett says 2012 will go down as the best year the state has ever had for tourism.
In 2011 Wisconsin tourism revenue was 16-billion-dollars, an eight-percent increase over 2010. One in every 13 jobs in the state is sustained by tourism activity.
