Marshfield Man That Threatend to Light Woman on Fire Makes Court Appearance

-A Marshfield man made an appearance in Wood County court for dousing a woman in gasoline and threatening to light her on fire.Tyler Ress, age 23, has seven total charges filed against him. They are 1st-degree recklessly endangering safety, strangulation and suffocation, false imprisonment, abortion of unborn child by another, battery, disorderly conduct, and contact after domestic abuse arrest.
Back in September, Ress punched a 28-year-old pregnant Marshfield woman multiple times to try and make her miscarry. He then doused her in gasoline, threatening to light her on fire.
Ress appeared with his attorney Damon Stichert and Kelly Lehn appeared for the state. Ress has entered a plea of not guilty.
Ress? 10,000 dollar signature bond will continue and Judge Nicholas Brazeau Jr. set a future court date for January.
Ress is currently being held in the Wood County Jail and if convicted he could face 50 years in prison.
