Historic Preservation Meeting Discussed at Neillsville City Council Meeting

-The recent Historic Preservation Commission Meeting was discussed at the recent Neillsville City Council Meeting.The members of the commission discussed the use of the remaining 2012 commission funds.
The installation of brackets and painting of the nine remaining posts identifying the various Neillsville historic sites was approved.
They also approved the placement of the posts at Tufts? Mansion and the Hein House.
Finally, the board discussed the 2,000 dollar donation from the Listeman Foundation for the Historic Walking Tour brochure. The commission will send a thank you letter to the foundation.
The Director of Public Works, Dave Flynn, also went over the usual city cleaning that was done the past few weeks. He also discussed the Christmas decorations that were put up and lit in the past week.
Finally, Dave mentioned two young employees that received recognition by the Optimist Club along with 4 others.
Ethan Reinhart and Megan Pickett both received a 50 dollar Chamber of Commerce gift certificate and were part of a recognition dinner.
