District Administrator's Report at Owen-Withee School Board Meeting

-District Administrator of Owen-Withee, Bob Houts, gave a report at the recent Owen-Withee School Board Meeting.Mr. Houts notified the Board that Travis Engel and 4 FFA members will be traveling to Indianapolis for the National FFA Convention October 23-27.
He also said that The Race to the Top grant application being spearheaded by CESA 10 is just about ready to be submitted. The consortium is asking for upwards of $30 million over three years to implement four things which include the Wisconsin Teacher Effectiveness model, RTL, the Common Core Standards and individualizing the education experience for all students.
Mr. Houts, Julie Kodl and Erin Klapatauskas attend the Department of Public Instruction training for the teacher Effectiveness Model that the district is helping to pilot. The system is very similar to what Owen-Withee is doing already.
Finally, Bob reported that the School Accountability Report has been released but is embargoed until October 22, when it will be available to the public.
