-Items done by the Neillsville Public Works and items discussed at the Historic Preservation Commission were discussed at the Tuesday Neillsville City Council Meeting.A sample of the Certificate of Appropriateness was approved by the commission and they also discussed the historic walking tour brochure. As they are almost out of brochures, the commission decided to apply for funding from the Listeman Foundation to print more.
Finally, the commission approved payment of 900 dollars to Pat Lacey to complete the National Registry Nomination Plan for the Hediger House and 6 Grand Avenue.
The Neillsville Public Works has been busy with cleaning of leaves, which is take time as there are a lot of leaves. Citizens can check the city?s Facebook page to see where they will be cleaning next.
They've also hauled brush, swept the streets, worked in the cemetery and parks. The park bathrooms will soon be winterized and closed for the season. Also, if people are putting branches on the curb, it will be a while before the city picks them up due to the large amount of Fall work and cleaning.
Finally, the City has had 43 building permits requested. 3 of those are residential and the city hasn?t seen that many in six or seven years.
