Grants and Historic Preservation Discussed at Neillsville City Council Meeting

-The Neillsville City Council discussed a housing loan from the Grants Committee and items from the Historic Preservation Commission.After hearing reports from the Clark County and Chippewa County Housing Authority, the Grants Committee and then the City Council reviewed and approved a 20,000 dollar housing loan.
This money will help with roofing repairs and several other items that need to be fixed.
The Historic Preservation Committee approved the installation of a new post at Tufts? Mansion and to send a letter to historic property owners about replacement of posts at landmark properties.
The committee approved a request to install a plaque onto the home of Alan Hoesly describing its previous owners.
The committee also approved Pat Lacey?s final applications for the Hediger House and 6 Grand Avenue to be submitted to the Wisconsin Historic Society for review.
