10 Years in Jail for Black River Falls Man

-A Black River Falls man will spend a decade in jail for his part in a bribery case.Timothy Whiteagle, age 61, was sentenced to 10 years in prison. He was convicted of bribing a Ho-Chunk legislator to use his position to help Whiteagle?s clients obtain contracts with the Ho-Chunk and other tribal businesses.
Whiteagle was the last of four people convicted.
Clarence Pettibone, also of Black River Falls, was convicted for accepting the bribe and he?ll spend five years in federal prison.
Brian Johnson, of Minnesota, received a four month term for lying to federal agents during the investigation.
And finally, a recent sentence of four years and two months was given to Deborah Atherton, of Black River Falls, for her part in the bribery case.
