Neillsville School District Sets Tax Levy

-The Neillsville School district has set the tax levy for the 2012-13 school year.The tax levy did actually increase by 4.21%. That was due to the 5.66% loss in state aid. The School District of Neillsville lost just over 326,000 dollars in state aid.
However, the board did decide to ease the burden on tax payers and approve the 4.21% increase when it could have been close to a 10% increase due to the loss of the state aid.
The board also approved a curriculum addition for a study skills course for the middle school.
A wage increase for their supervisors was approved.
And finally, they board accepted the resignation of Ashley Edgerton as a Junior Softball Coach.
