Health Officials Urge Flu Vaccinations

Wisconsin health officials say the flu season is here and they're urging residents to get vaccinated for influenza.Flu season for Wisconsin usually runs from late October to May. Peak activity is usually around early February. State health officer Dr. Henry Anderson says getting vaccinated is the most effective way to avoid getting the flu. Most health care providers already are offering flu vaccines.
Getting vaccinated is especially important for people ages 50 and older, and those with underlying health conditions.
