Marshfield Murder Suspect Officially Charged

Tuesday, October 16th, 2012 -- 8:43 AM

-The suspect in the Marshfield murder investigation has been officially charged.
Gabriel Luis Campos, age 20, has been charged with First Degree Intentional Homicide Domestic Abuse.

According to court documents, Campos broke up with the woman he?s accused of killing and is being held in jail on a 5 million dollar bond.

It was Campos? mother, Michelle Lang that found the body of Maisie McCullough, age 18, in her Marshfield home.

Campos had lived with McCullough until recently when she ended the relationship with him.

Campos turned himself in to Wisconsin Rapids police and Campos? and McCullough?s child was with him and has been turned over to family.

The Wood County deputy coroner says McCullough's throat was slit and she was stabbed in the back. Court documents say she also had cuts on her left hand that were consistent with someone defending themselves. Several bloody shoeprints were also found at the scene.

Campos is scheduled to be back in court in November.
