Public Works and Heritage Days Discussed at Recent City Council Meeting

-The Director of Public works went over recent items taken care of for the city during Neillsville?s recent city council meeting.The cemetery was cleaned up, including the removal of old decorations. All the flowers and hanging baskets have been removed in preparation of winter, but fall decorations were put up in their place.
They are also working on upgrading the roads in the cemetery.
The Heritage Days Committee Meeting was also discussed at the recent city council meeting.
A budget of 1,750 dollars will be presented to the finance committee. This is an 8% decrease from last year.
The committee set the date for next year?s Heritage Days. They will take place on July 12-14th. There was a discussion on food, movie night, bands, and other items as well.
The committee also decided they wouldn?t have a Heritage Days button for 2013.
