Neillsville Man Sentenced for Death of Sparta Couple

-A Neillsville man has been sentenced for the death of a Sparta couple.Larry Schaffer, of Neillsville, was sentenced on Tuesday to 20 years in prison for the deaths of Kale Kvistad Jr. and Connie DeGeorge, both of Sparta.
Back in 2002, the couple had disappeared from their home. A hunter found their remains two years later near Fort McCoy.
Both individuals had been shot in the head and investigators believe they had been killed during a robbery by Schaffer.
Schaffer maintained his innocence though, even though he ended up pleading no contest to the killings.
