-The Neillsville City Council approved an update to its Comprehensive Plan at their recent meeting. The Comprehensive Plan for the City of Neillsville offers a 20 year outlook on the city based on date collected in different categories which include housing, land, and many others.
The book provides a 20 year outlook, but is updated every 10 years and next year is when it needs to be updated.
The book also provides a lot of the backbone in applying for different grants and funding, so it was highly recommended that the update be completed.
The board agreed, approving the total cost of 8,000 dollars which would include a public input portion during the updating process. It would have been 5,000 dollars without the public input.
A payment option mentioned stated paying part of the cost at the end of this year and then including the rest in the 2013 budget.
