Clark County HCE Hosts "Meet the Candidate Night"

-The Clark County HCE hosted the ?Meet the Candidate Night? at the Loyal American Legion on Sunday evening.

The opposed candidates present included Lyndsey Boon-Brunette, Democrat, and Shari Post, Republican, for District Attorney. Marcia Ziegler, Democrat, and Peggy Walter, Republican, for Register of Deeds. Mary Williams, Republican, and Elizabeth Riley, Democrat, for 87th Assembly Representative. Kathy Bernier, Republican, for 68th Assembly Representative and her opponent Judy Smriga, Democrat, did not attend. Finally, Paul Knoff, Democrat, and Scott Suder, Republican, attended as well.

The unopposed candidates that were present were County Clerk Christina Jensen, Republican, and County Treasurer Kathy Brugger, Democrat.

Each candidate was given a two minute period of time to give an opening statement. After that, the various media sources gave specific candidates questions in which they answered and then their opponent was given the opportunity to answer the same question.

At the end of the night, the candidates answered questions from the audience that included topics like future plans, voter ID, tax or fee increases, Governor Walker?s recall, concealed carry law, 'Wisconsin's' Economy, ACT 10, and more.
