Club Memebers Say Wild Rock Horse Trails In Great Condition
Friday, October 5th, 2012 -- 8:20 AM
-The Clark County Forestry and Parks Department has said that the Wild Rock Horse Trails were ridden this past weekend by club members and they seem to be well used, so they are easy to follow. Some trimming has been done in the last few weeks by club members. One ?you are here sign? had been moved, but is now where it?s supposed to be.
Since it?s a dry season, the water crossing on the red trail is only up to the horse?s bellies. The water crossing on 7 sisters is barely there, but the horses were able to drink.
The hills are all named on the signs, so you know where it goes up and comes down for friends who don?t take the hills. They are Addie, Bertha, Callie and Dolly.
Bertha is the biggest and steepest one. Callie and Dolly are the easiest for someone who just wants to try one.
There were very few bugs and not many bees were seen either. Club members are not aware of anyone getting stung. The lady bugs were expected, but they weren?t a problem.
