-A Wood County woman has pleaded no contest to stealing $1.3 million from her employer.Bonnie Hartle, age 42 of Aburndale, entered the plea Tuesday in Wood County Court and was found guilty of 25 felony counts of theft.
Hartle took the money from Weiler Convenience Store over a 10 year period.
Hartle has been sentenced to one year in jail and 30 years of probation. She has also been ordered to pay more than 1.3 million dollars in restitution.
Hartle paid 50,000 dollars of that money on Tuesday. Hartle is unable to give the money she took back because, according to her attorney, she has a gambling problem and the money is gone.
Investigators estimated Hartle stole $1,000 from the store each week.
