Owen Man Enters Plea for Sexual Assault Charges

An Owen man enterd a plea for sexual assault charges in Clark County Court on Tuesday.

According to court records, Mathew Balich was accused of assaulting a gas station worker on May 8th of last year.  Balich said he had a few drinks, it was a bad night, and he never meant to hurt anybody’s feelings.

During his court appearance on Tuesday, he pleaded guilty to 2nd degree sexual assault/use of force and false imprisonment.  Several other charges were dismissed and read in.  He’s scheduled for sentencing on April 23rd.
