Distribution of Funds Discussed at Neillsville City Council Meeting

Thursday, September 13th, 2012 -- 1:31 PM

-The Neillsville City Council approved the distribution of the Listeman and Listeman/Naedler funds at their Tuesday meeting.

There was a total of 10,000 dollars in the Listeman fund. The 10,000 dollars was broken down into three different categories regarding what it would be used for. 5,000 went to the arboretum, 4,000 to the city?s website, and 1,000 towards Christmas decorations.

The board also approved a request from the Neillsville resident that has had issues with her pot-bellied pigs escaping into other yards.

The resident asked for an extension on the 30 days she was given to remove them.

She informed the board that if she can?t keep the pigs, then she will be resigning from her position at the hospital and moving. However, she asked for the extension to help the hospital stay covered until they can find someone to replace her.

The board did approve the extension, with the stipulation that if the pigs escape again, she will be cited.

The board also went over what was discussed at a recent Library Board Meeting and Personnel Committee Meeting.
