Stratford Man Pleads Not Guilty to Homocide Charges

-A Stratford man made an appearance in Marathon County Court on Monday.Thirty-year-old William Bowden has charges of homicide by drunken driving, OWI, and others filed against him after the death of his friend Timothy Spindler in January.
The two men were ice fishing Jan. 7 on the Big Eau Pleine Reservoir when the vehicle Bowden was driving broke through the ice. Bowden escaped, but the 34-year-old Spindler drowned.
A not guilty plea was entered into the record by John and Damon Stichert, Bowden?s attorneys. His bond is also set to continue.
Bowden will appear in court again in October.
