Neillsville Library Board Meeting

-The Neillsville City Library held their board meeting on Wednesday.The Board approved the Proposed 2013 Library budget. The next step is to present it to the City Council on Oct. 4.
The Board also approved, after some discussion, participating in the 2013 Wisconsin Public Library Consortium Buying Pool.
WPLC is the organization that provides electronic materials to be downloaded to Kindles, Nooks, and other eReaders. The libraries in WI are trying to raise $1 Million to allow WPLC to purchase more titles. Each Library in WI is being asked to participate by contributing to the fund and Neillsville will contribute $766.46.
The Board approved the selling of Pizza Hunt coupons as a fundraiser to book guest speakers, after making sure it wouldn?t be against language in the Bylaws.
Finally, there was also some discussion on redesigning the library?s website, and who should do it. It was decided that the Board needed more information prior to making this decision.
