More Items From Recent Neillsville City Council Meeting

-The city council approved the health insurance contract renewal for city employees at their recent meeting.In a Police and Fire Commission meeting Tuesday afternoon, the committee approved the hiring of a new police officer for the city.
The city also made the decision to know longer allow a resident on Burley Street to have potbellied pigs.
Back in April, the city had discussed allowing the resident to have the animals after complaints were filed, by neighbors, of the pigs getting loose. The city decided it was okay for the owner to have them, but the resident was given a warning to make sure they're contained.
However, recent complaints have come up again and filed with the police, the mayor, and aldermen. The city decided that the pigs need to go.
