Court Appearances Continue for Man Accused of Killing Loyal Woman

-A La Crosse man made an appearance in Marathon County Court on Wednesday.In March, Paige Metz of Loyal was killed when Tyler Deal allegedly lost control of the vehicle which then spun into a utility pole on the passenger side.
Drugs and drug paraphernalia were discovered in the vehicle after the accident and charges were filed against Deal after he recovered from his injuries.
At first, only misdemeanor charges of possession were filed against him. Now, new charges of homicide by intoxicated use of a vehicle, homicide by use of a vehicle, and homicide by negligent operation of a vehicle have been filed against him due to the death of Metz. The new charges are all felonies.
A pre-trail conference was held to request a preliminary hearing at the end of September.
