-The Board of Directors President at the Memorial Medical Center received a special honor from the Wisconsin Hospital Association on Tuesday.Bob Barth has been on the board for 30 years and has enjoyed every minute of it.
Bob said, ?I enjoy working with the people. We have a great staff here at the hospital. They really care about the patients.?
He continued saying, ?It?s an amazing organization and facility that we have in Neillsville. It?s great that you and I can drive a few minutes to a hospital to get care, rather than having to drive 30 to 45 minutes. Sometime, a few minutes can mean life or death.?
Bob was ?very surprised? when he found out that he had won. A very emotional Bobbe Teigen, the CEO of Memorial Medical Center, read the heartwarming letter she wrote to the WHA to nominate Bob for the award. The president of the WHA, Steve Brenton, presented the award.
Bob?s family, friends, and co-workers were also present to help him celebrate.
