Rapids Police Enforce "Drive Sober" Campaign

-The Wisconsin Rapids Police Department was busy enforcing the "Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over" campaign this past weekend.Four people were arrested over the weekend and will be charged with operating while intoxicated.
The Wisconsin Rapids Police Department and law enforcement officers all over the nation have increased patrol due to the campaign.
The Officers say the goal is to get people who have been drinking to think twice before getting behind the wheel.
Last year, 225 people were killed and nearly 3,000 injured in alcohol-related traffic crashes in Wisconsin. There were more than 35,000 convictions for drunken driving in Wisconsin last year.
