DADS & LADS AWARDS HELD

The Neillsville Recreation Department held their annual Dads & Lads Award Picnic on Thursday, July 17th following the players final summer game.

All boys and girls received certificates for their participation. Teams and their honored players included:

Yankees: Kaiden Hartung, Bailey Zank, Kalan Hamm, Owen Hediger, Easton Johnson & Danielle Schoolman

Reds: Shylah Walk, Rachel Dux, Devyn McDonald, Laylah Walk & Caleb Bixby

White Sox: Ryan Magnuson, Hunter Schultz, Haylee Erickson, Karcyn Schmitz, Jackson Hemp & Mya Gardner

Twins: Blake & Caden Haun, Cody Drescher, Emerson Ormond, Iris Edgington & Zaria Johnson.

Following the ceremony ice-cream and rootbeer donated by the Neillsville A&W was enjoyed by all.

Dads and Lads is a baseball program for 6 year old boys and girls which stresses parental involvement and concentrates on the fundamentals of the sport with no emphasis on winning and losing.

The Recreation Department would like to thank the volunteer coaches of the program: Shelly Schmitz, Jake & Tara Ormond, Ashley Edgington, Malinda Johnson, Josh Hemp, Scott Hartung, Wendy Proffitt, Laura & Brian Walk and Bryan Dux.
