Hixton Fire Department Responds to Camper Fire

The Hixton Fire Department responded to a camper fire on Thursday, May 2nd.

According to the Department, around 3:52pm, they were paged for a reported camper on fire near Motel 95 in Hixton. E51 arrived just before 4pm with a full crew. E51 was able to quickly extinguish the fire and marked it under control at 4:02pm.

One civilian was treated on the scene for smoke inhalation. No Firefighter injuries were reported. Sadly there was one dog that did not survive the fire. Hixton E51, E52, T51 & Tech-51 assisted on scene. Cause of the fire is unknown.
