Awards Presented to Local Participants in SkillsUSA Competition

Awards were presented during the Wednesday, April 10th, SkillsUSA Wisconsin State Leadership and Skills Conference closing ceremonies held at the Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Madison.
The 51st annual event featured more than 1,500 middle, high school, and college/post-secondary students participating in over 80 skilled and technical trades competitions. Some local winner include:
Automotive Service Technology - College:
- Silver: Andrew David, Mid-State Technical College, Wisconsin Rapids
Automotive Service Technology - High School:
- Bronze: Riley Arndorfer, Marshfield Senior High School
CNC 2-Axis Turning Programmer - College:
- Gold: Matthew Clark, Mid-State Technical College, Wisconsin Rapids (He’ll compete in the 2024 National SkillsUSA Championships, June 24-28 in Atlanta, Ga)
CNC 2-Axis Turning Programmer - High School:
- Silver: John Klumb, Marshfield Senior High School
CNC Technician (formerly Precision Machining Technology) - High School:
- Silver: Ryan Will, Marshfield Senior High School
Commercial sUAS Drone Demonstration (Team) - High School:
- Gold: Trevor Meyer and Owen Siegel, Marshfield Senior High School (They’ll compete in the 2024 National SkillsUSA Championships, June 24-28 in Atlanta, Ga)
Related Technical Math - Middle School:
- Gold: Charlie Heath, Black River Falls Middle School
Video News Production (formerly Broadcast News Production) (Team) - High School:
- Bronze: Jeremy Bailey, Jorji Rios, and Brad Wensel, Black River Falls High School
Welding - High School:
