Competency Exam Requested For Marshfield Man

The attorney for a 30 year-old Marshfield man accused of walking away from the Northwood Health Center in Marshfield and stealing a car has requested a competency exam for his client.WSAW.com reports that the case will not move foward until Jason Spindler is found competent to stand trial.
Police said Spindler was arrested Aug. 24 in Jackson County after walking away from the Norwood Health Center in Marshfield. He's charged with taking and driving a vehicle without consent, criminal damage to property and theft. Spindler remains in custody on a $1000 cash bond.
A future court date has not yet been set.
