Employment Matters Discussed at Neillsville School Board Meeting

-Employment matters were discussed at the Neillsville School Board Meeting on Monday.The board approved the resignation of teaching assistant Michelle Mitte and approved the hiring of Heidi Magnuson for a bus driving position.
The board also approved the resignation of James McFarlane as the C-Team boys? basketball coach and approved Mr. McFarlane?s application to become the Science Club advisor.
Also the board approved a wage increase of $1,000 for all full-time teachers returning from the 2012-2013 school year, $500 for all half-time teachers returning from the 2012-2013 school year, and $3,000 supplemental pay for select staff members for the 2013-2014 school year.
District Administrator John Gaier reported on several items including the new elementary boiler, a new bus stop on Division Street, a Focus article, the Milwaukee Basketball Coaches Clinic, an email regarding girls volleyball, a Memorial Medical Center forum, a regional workforce initiative, a Chippewa Herald article on Common Core Standards, a WIAA announcement and a report from Clark County Economic Development.
