-This week is National Library Week.

To celebrate, Jo Ann Gustavson, Head Librarian at Neillsville told me about some new things that have been added and events held at the Neillsville Library the past year.

"Our biggest things is that we joined VCAT which is our library system's shared catalog. We are able to look for books in seven different counties. We just go done doing a moon rock presentation. The people that came actually got to hold 40 million dollars worth of moon rocks.

Jo Ann also elaborated on the services the library currently offers.

"We have books, DVD's, videos, music CD's. We now have a kindle and a nook. We also offer several newspapers. We have four access computers that people can use to get on the internet."

The library had some impressive numbers this year with 636 eBooks checked out, 7600 users on their computers, and sent out 5,900 items using the VCAT service.

With story hour, computers, a large variety of books, newspapers, events and many other items, everyone should take the time to check out what’s happening at the Neillsville Library.
