-The Friends of the Fairground group made a special announcement during the Ag Society Meeting in Greenwood on Monday.

The funds for the new PA system have been obtained and work will begin as early as next week with the entire project expected to be finished by the end of May.

At the February Friends of the Fairgrounds meeting, the group was told that 750 dollars were still needed to place an order for the system. On March 7th, Donovan Spry had stepped up and provided the money in order to get the system moving.

The entire amount of funds came from various sources. The Ag Society put out a matching grant of 10,000 dollars for a new project at the fairgrounds. The money could have gone to any activity, but the PA system was a top priority on many peopleís list, so that was the one chosen.

Money also came from Xcel Energy, Clark Electric Cooperative, the City of Neillsville, the Menís Club of Neillsville, and a grant from the Listeman Foundation.
