-Partnerships are going to be the key in bringing new events to the Clark County Fairgrounds.

That was decided by many at the table during the 2nd Clark County Friends of the Fairgrounds Committee Meeting.

“The more partnerships we bring in, the more we can work hand-in-hand and assist them to really make the fairgrounds great,” said Sheila Nyberg, Executive Director of the Clark County Economic Development Corporation.

Another thought brought up was that many people blame the county for charging groups too much money to hold their events at the fairgrounds, but that’s not always that case. Sometimes an event grows too large and needs to move.

After that thought was expressed, another question was thrown out: If these events grow bigger, can we grow with them?

Finally, Sheila mentioned that this year is the 140th Anniversary of the Fair, so she hopes the community can really come out and coincide with the anniversary and help bring great and wonderful changes to the Clark County Fairgrounds.
