-Antique appraisal fans should head over to the Cadott Public Library on January 17th.

Mark Moran, who is an appraiser on Antiques Roadshow, and who has since launched his own successful appraisal program, will be looking at local residentís treasures and valuables.

Markís own program is going extremely well although he will admit that when he first started he didnít know what the response was going to be. "I didn't really know what the results of my efforts were going to be." Mark said. "However, the programs, the Antique Appraisal Events, have proven to be just amazingly popular. My total bookings over the last year and a half were well over 225 events which I find just staggering."

Mark will admit that he does have several categories as his specialty when it comes to appraising them. "Fine art, paintings, drawings, prints, statuary, furniture, ceramics, glassware, vintage photography, early advertising, folk art, assorted toys, metalware, clocks, and costume jewelry."

And he does have items heís not as knowledgeable about. "All weapons. Whether it's firearms or swords, or knives. Coins or paper money and fine jewelry.

Once again, Mark will be at the Cadott Public Library on Thursday, January 17th starting at 4:00pm. You can bring an item to have appraised or you can simply sit and watch.

If youíd like to contact Mark, to ask him if an item you have is acceptable and he can appraise it, you can contact him via his website at
