Thorp FCCLA Students Compete in STAR Events

Thorp FCCLA students recently competed in STAR events.

Joslyn Corbin and Emma Mohr participated in the Culinary Skill Demonstration: Baking competition. As juniors they were in level 3 and needed to make espresso chocolate chip cookies. It was a timed event and they had to also make sure to follow all safety and sanitation protocols.

Their recipe also called for all ingredients to be weighed rather than measured. Both students earned gold and will be advancing to state.
