Rock advances through semifinals finishing 2nd in a time of 45.78.
Rock will now run in the finals on Friday
"I was happy with the way semis went, i just
wanted to be top 2 and make it through. I knew it wasn't going to be easy
and the conditions were horrible. but I feel I ran smart and that will help
me in the finals. The track surface was fine, it was the wind and the rain
that made it tough."

"Smaller race, just kind of wanted to get the feeling of running in
Europe after flying and being jet lagged. I was pretty tired because I

first meet in Europe."

May 7th, 2005 - Kingston, Jamaica
Andrew finished 2nd (44.75 - 2nd fastest time in the world this year)
"It was great weather, but I was in Lane 8.
I was a bit worried being out and having so many fast guys inside of me.
I got out extremely hard and did not hear anyone until 350 meters into
the race. Merritt then pulled up along side and I just didn't quite have
enough left to beat him. It was close. (Merritt) and Wariner are great
runners and they bring the best out in me. I am looking forward to
racing them both again."
