Youth Baseball & Softball Registration To Be Held

The Neillsville Rec Department will hold registration for boys and girls in kindergarten through 8th grades interested in playing summer baseball and softball on Friday, April 26th from 7:30 to 8:30 pm.

Registration will be held at the Rec. Department office located at City Hall. Early registration is very acceptable. Office hours are 9 am to 4 pm.

Boys and girls just finishing kindergarten will be registering for Dads and Lads, boys in grades 1 & 2 will be registering for T-Ball, boys in grades 3 & 4 will comprise the Little League and boys in grades 5 - 8 will compete in the Minor League.

Girls in 1st - 4th grades will register for Juniorette Softball, girls in grades 4 - 7 will form an "in town" slowpitch softball league while girls in grades 5 - 8 for fast pitch will play in a "traveling" league. Girls ages 12 and older could play both fast pitch and slow pitch as competition is on different evenings.

Individual league fees:
Dads and Lads, T-Ball, Little and Minor league baseball and Juniorette softball - $10 each.
Fast pitch softball - $10 each
Slow pitch softball - $7 each
The maximum a family can pay is $30.

Volunteer coaches are needed. If interested, call the Rec. Department at 715-743-2400. No registration will be accepted after Monday, May 6th.
