JUNIORETTE SOFTBALL AWARDS CEREMONY HELD

The Neillsville Recreation Department held their annual "Juniorette Awards Picnic" on Tuesday, July 15th at the school softball diamonds.

All girls who participated in the program received certificates. Teams and their honored players included:

Angels: Abby Mathis, Heavyn Hainz, Kylee Hamm, Morgan Gurney, Delainey Johnson, Paris Opelt, Kyra Rakovec, Kattie Roidt & Karsen Czarnecki

Royals: Lauren Langreck, Delaney Rochester, Emma Moseley, Maddie Waters, Lilly Opelt, Malana Gurney, Gianna Kuhn, Jada Gurney & Cali Moseid

Phillies: Amelia Trunkel, Jayden Bymers, Courtney Oldham, Ella King, Mckenzie Keller, Courtney Magneson, Vicky Ratsch & Kelly Boon

Sluggers: Maggie Hoeser, Amanda Schneider, Kati Mayer, Ava Mortenson, Callee Mohr, Lainey Horn, Lilly Schutz & Abbi Elmhorst

Crickets: Paige Voigt, Amanda Jensen, Tyla Uptergrove, Kennedy Zank, Ava Miller, Ella Morgan & Kenadi Urban

Cardinals: Abigail Koepp, Sydney Subke, Gracie Schoengarth, Olivia Koprek, Laura Vine, Sophie Hanson & Macci Elmhorst

Following the ceremony, ice cream and root beer, donated by A&W, were enjoyed by all.

Juniorette Softball is a program for girls 7-10 years of age that stresses the fundamentals of the game with very little emphasis on winning and losing.
