LARGE SPENCER EMPLOYER TO CLOSE DOORS

One of Spencer’s largest employers has announced plans to close two central Wisconsin facilities.
Fiskars is closing factories in Spencer and Wausau and cutting back its Wausau distribution center, where it will retain about 50 employees.
They say 300 jobs will be eliminated when they begin dismissing employees in September - including 90 in Spencer.
They’re moving work overseas.
The consumer products company is known for its orange-handled scissors.
