GREGORY FILES APPEAL OF RECOUNT

One of three Clark County Board candidates who recounts showed lost a close race on April 4th has filed an appeal in Clark County Circuit Court.
Recounts confirmed incumbent Wayne Hendrickson defeated Gene Gregory by four votes. Now Gregory is appealing the result.
Clerk of Circuit Court Gail Walker confirms Gregory filed an “Appeal of Recount Determination” Thursday – just before the statutory deadline to do so.
The ballots from the election are secured in the County Clerk’s office and, by statute, will be turned over to the Clerk of Court’s office.
There is no explanation attached to the Appeal and no court date has been set in the matter.
Meanwhile, former District 4 Supervisor Nicole Strickland did not file an appeal of the recount. Clark County District Attorney Darwin Zwieg says he continues his investigation into Strickland’s “Allegation of Election Irregularities” filed with his office on the day of the recount – Wednesday, April 12th.
