Investigation into Allegations Against Colby School Staff Member

-There has been another case of possible abuse of a student by a school staff member in Clark County.
Last week, the Colby School District put a staff member on paid administrative leave after accusations of inappropriate conduct were made.
According to the Marshfield Police Department, they are investigating a matter that involves an offense that occurred outside the state of Wisconsin with a 17-year-old.
A second allegation made said that the staff member touched an 18-year-old male, but it did happen over three years ago, so the limitations have expired on the matter. Since the student was an adult, if charges could be pursued they would have been misdemeanors charges.
So far, there have been no criminal charges filed against the staff member and the Colby School District said it’s conducting its own investigation.
