-A one vehicle rollover on Monday shut down the westbound lanes of traffic on Highway 29 near Boyd.

Just after midnight on Monday morning, the Chippewa County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a semi-tractor and flatbed trailer, loaded with tires, having rolled over. The tires had fallen off the trailer causing a longer delay in clean up.

The driver of the semi, John Drewa age 54 of Wisconsin Rapids, was transported to a nearby hospital for minor injuries.

The owner of the semi is Midwest Express located in Plover. The highway was reopened just before 8:00am on Monday morning.

The Chippewa County Sheriff's Office, Boyd Fire and Rescue, Stanley Police Department, Chippewa County Highway Department, and the Wisconsin Department of Transportation all responded to the accident.
