Neillsville Chamber Banquet, Part 3

-Several businesses were recognized for their great efforts in 2012 by the Neillsville Area Chamber of Commerce at their recognition banquet on Saturday.
Marcia Gross received the Spotlight of the Year award. Dr. Greg Foster explained that the winner of this award “works to improve the community.”
Marcia has done just that and is involved in the Winter Carnival Committee, a 4-H leader, taught CCD, worked with the Clark County Humane Society, and that’s to name just a few.
Marcia said she, “enjoys working with the community” and “loves the personal connection you make with people while volunteering for these events.”
The Agri-Business of the Year Award went to Jim and Walter and Joyce Wetzel. Dr. Foster said that, “farming is the backbone of the community and in these tough economic times, they’d be even worse without farmers.”
The Wetzel farm has played host to the Neillsville Dairy Breakfast numerous times. Walter said, “Hosting the event is no big deal. All we have to do is clean out a corner of the shed where all our junk is. Most people don’t realize all the work done by the Chamber to put on the breakfast.”
