Congressman Duffy Visits Neillsville, Part 2

-Local citizens voiced some concerns to Congressman Sean Duffy during his visit to Neillsville on Monday.
One resident said, “I’m concerned about President Obama’s disregard of the constitution and wondered what could be done to stop that.”
Congressman Duffy said, “When a President does things that are against the constitution it throws the entire government into chaos. There are two things we can do. We can take the matter to the courts and try and tie it up in there or we can limit his funding.”
He continued saying, “The more aggressive action is to limit his funding so he can’t do what he wants. If we put it through the courts, they may agree with his decisions and that gets us nowhere.”
At one point, a resident suggested impeaching the president to the congressman. Duffy said, “Look at this last election. People voted the president back in even after four years of failed policies. If we try and impeach him, it’s just going to waste a lot of time and money. I don’t agree with trying to impeach him. It’s just not appropriate.”
