District Administrator's Report at Owen-Withee School Board Meeting

-Bob Houts, District Administrator for the Owen-Withee School District, gave a report at the recent school board meeting.
Bob reported on the Race to the Top grant written by CESA 10 that the district was a part of. The grant for $30 million over 4 years was a finalist for the federal grant, but was not funded.
All copiers and printers in the building were replaced by EO Johnson over the Christmas break as part of their printer service contract. The process went very smoothly.
The District has volunteered to be part of a pilot for the Smarter Balanced Assessment, the replacement for the WKCE test. Being a part of the pilot will allow Owen-Withee to experience the test, see samples of the test questions and check their technology/network infrastructure to make sure they can handle the test, which is given online.
